AI content review FAQ

Short answers to the questions we get about ordering, the review itself, the corrections email, payment, and privacy. This AI content review FAQ covers the practical side; How it works walks through an order step by step, and What we check lists everything the editor looks for.

Ordering

What do I need to place an order?

Three things: the public URL of the article, the email address where the corrections should go, and a card. There is no account to create and no brief to write. Paste the URL on the order form, pay, and the editor takes it from there. One order covers one URL of roughly up to 3,000 words; see Pricing for what counts as one article.

Can I send a Google Doc or a Word file?

No. We review web pages, so the article must be reachable at a public URL. If the piece is not published yet, paste it onto a page on your site (an unlisted or draft URL is fine as long as it opens without a login) or use a public share link that renders as a normal web page. A download link to a document file does not work.

What if my article is behind a login?

We cannot read it, and we will not ask for your credentials. Put a copy on a page that opens without signing in, order with that URL, and take the page down afterward if you like. If the URL turns out to be unreachable when we fetch it, we refund you in full.

Can I order for a client?

Yes. Enter whichever email should receive the corrections: yours, your client's, or both if you forward it. The email is a plain editorial note about the page; it does not pitch our service to your client. If you do this regularly, For agencies explains how to batch orders and route the emails.

The review

Do you rewrite my article?

No. We do not touch the article and we do not publish anything. The editor reads it, marks every problem, and writes each fix as an instruction. You paste those instructions into the AI that wrote the draft and it applies them. Your voice, your tool, and your workflow stay the same.

Do you detect whether it was written by AI?

No. We do not run AI detectors, we do not score the article for how machine-like it sounds, and we do not rewrite text to get past detectors. We read it the way an editor and an informed reader would and tell you what is wrong with it. Whether a sentence came from a person or a model does not change whether it is correct.

What exactly does the editor check?

Facts and claims, invented specifics such as fake studies or misattributed quotes, logic and structure, whether the page answers what its title promised, generic AI voice, vague passages that should be concrete, risky claims about your own product, grammar and mechanics, basic search intent, and passages that look lifted. The full checklist with examples is on What we check.

What tools does this work with?

Any of them. The corrections are written in plain language, so they work with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Jasper, or whatever produced the draft. They also work if you want to apply the changes by hand. We never need access to your tool or your account.

What languages do you review?

English only for now. American and British spelling are both fine; the editor follows whichever the article uses.

How long does it take?

Usually within one business day. Reviews are done in the order received by a real person, so we do not promise instant turnaround. If something will take longer, we email you before the deadline passes.

What if the page changes after I order?

We fetch a snapshot of the page the moment you order, and the editor reads that copy. Edits you make afterward are not part of the review. If you want the updated version checked, place a new order.

The email you get

What does the email look like?

A short cover note from the editor with the overall verdict, followed by a block of numbered corrections. Each correction quotes the passage, explains the problem in a sentence, and says what to change. There is a full example on the sample review page.

How do I apply the corrections?

Open the AI tool you used, paste in the article, then paste in the corrections block underneath it and ask the tool to apply every correction. It rewrites only the passages we flagged. Read the result once before you publish; it is your name on the page, not the model's.

Can I ask follow-up questions?

Yes. Reply to the email. The reply goes to the editor who did the review, and a short clarification is part of the service. A second full read of a revised draft is a new order.

Payment and refunds

How much does it cost?

One flat fee per article, paid by card when you order. The current price is shown on the order form. There is no subscription, no account, and nothing that renews; each order is separate. Credit cards carry a small surcharge, debit and prepaid cards do not.

Is my card handled safely?

Yes. Payment is processed by Clover. Your card number goes to Clover directly and never reaches our server, so we cannot see it or store it. The charge appears on your statement as DATARECOVERY.COM INC, the name of the company behind baryreview.

What is your refund policy?

Full refund any time before the review starts: reply to your order confirmation and ask. Full refund whenever we cannot complete the review, for example because the page would not load or was not a web page. Once the corrections email has been delivered, the order is final. Details are in the terms.

Privacy and security

Do you keep my content?

We keep the snapshot of the page we fetched at order time, along with the corrections we sent, to support the order: so we can answer follow-up questions and handle refunds. We do not publish it, sell it, or use it to train anything. The privacy policy has the specifics.

Who sees my article and my email address?

The editor assigned to your order and the people who run the service. Your email is used to send the confirmation and the corrections, and to answer you if you reply. We do not add it to a marketing list.

Who we are

Who are the editors?

Professional content writers and editors, led by John Krane, owner of the content agency relaycontent.com. Every review is read by a person. We do not outsource the reading to a model and we do not use anonymous crowd workers.

Why is a data recovery company doing this?

baryreview is a product of Datarecovery.com, Inc. of Edwardsville, Illinois, a data recovery lab in business since 1997. The lab is used to being trusted with things that matter and to doing careful, verifiable work, and it saw the same problem everyone else did: AI drafts that read well and are confidently wrong. Checking them is editorial work, so we partnered with editors to do it. Read more on About.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No. We check whether the page would satisfy someone who searched for its topic and flag obvious keyword stuffing, but we do not promise positions, traffic, or results. Nobody can honestly promise those. We promise that a professional editor read the whole article and told you everything that was wrong with it.

Still have a question?

Use the contact page and a person will answer. If you are ready, the order form takes about a minute.
